Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I am a proud native Austinite with a rich educational journey. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington for two years before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT Austin, I played the piccolo in the Longhorn Band and continue to support my alma mater by participating in alumni band week. In 2021, I earned my degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Professionally, I have dedicated three years to working as an Emergency Veterinarian (ER DVM) in both specialty and emergency hospitals. My areas of special interest include neurology, ophthalmology, and emergency surgery/medicine.

Outside of work, my life is enriched by the company of my six animals: three dogs—Rosie, an American Pit Bull, and Chuy and Derrick, two spirited Catahoulas—and three cats—Eris, named after the god of chaos; Miku, whose name means "beautiful sky" in Japanese; and Ash, a fitting name for her gray coat.

In my free time, I love to crochet, paint, and sew. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, attending music festivals, and exploring the world through travel.
